    SEE ALSO...

CYP4V2 Antibody (M29-P3B10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CYP4V2 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-CYP4V2 antibody (M29-P3B10) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CYP4V2, also known as Cytochrome P450 4V2, consists of 525 amino acids and is a member of the cytochrome P450 family, which is crucial for the metabolism of various substrates, including fatty acids and steroids. CYP4V2 is primarily localized to the endoplasmic reticulum membrane and is expressed in a wide range of human tissues, highlighting a potential role in diverse physiological processes. Defects in CYP4V2 have been associated with Bietti crystalline corneoretinal dystrophy (BCD), an autosomal recessive condition characterized by glistening intraretinal crystals, retinal degeneration, and progressive vision loss. Two isoforms of CYP4V2, resulting from alternative splicing, further emphasize the complexity of function and regulation within the body.
