Cyclin A Antibody (E23.1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects cyclin A in mouse, rat, human, and bovine samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). Cyclin A plays a pivotal role in regulating the eukaryotic cell cycle, particularly during S phase, where cyclin A is crucial for proper DNA replication progression. Cyclin A is primarily located in the nucleus, where cyclin A associates with cyclin-dependent kinase-2 (Cdk2) to form active complexes that drive cell cycle transitions. Nuclear localization of cyclin A ensures precise cell cycle machinery regulation, preventing premature or inappropriate cell division, which can lead to oncogenesis. Cyclin A has been implicated in various cellular processes, including cell transformation, and interacts with key regulatory proteins such as E1A, transcription factors DRTF1 and E2F, and retinoblastoma protein, p110. Anti-cyclin A antibody (E23.1) serves as an essential tool for researchers studying cell cycle dynamics and molecular mechanisms underlying cell proliferation and differentiation.
