Cyclin A Antibody (BF683) is a mouse monoclonal IgE antibody that detects cyclin A in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), flow cytometry (FCM), kinase assays, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Cyclin A plays a pivotal role in the regulation of the eukaryotic cell cycle, particularly during the transition from the S phase to mitosis, making cyclin A essential for proper cell division and proliferation. Cyclin A is primarily located in the nucleus, where cyclin A associates with cyclin-dependent kinases, particularly Cdk2, to facilitate the progression of the cell cycle. Nuclear localization of cyclin A is crucial as cyclin A allows for the timely activation of target proteins necessary for DNA replication and cell cycle progression. Furthermore, cyclin A has been shown to interact with various proteins, including the retinoblastoma protein and transcription factors such as E2F, which are vital for regulating gene expression during the cell cycle. The presence of cyclin A in these complexes underscores cyclin A′s importance in cell cycle control and potential implications in oncogenesis when dysregulated. Anti-cyclin A antibody (BF683) is available in both conjugated and non-conjugated forms, providing flexibility for various experimental needs.
