CUL-4 Antibody (H-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CUL-4 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-CUL-4 antibody (H-11) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CUL-4 plays a crucial role in the ubiquitin-proteasome system, specifically in the selective degradation of proteins, which is vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and regulating various biological processes, including cell cycle and DNA repair. CUL-4 functions as part of an E3 ubiquitin ligase complex, where CUL-4 associates with Nedd-8, a ubiquitin-like protein, to facilitate ubiquitination of target substrates. This post-translational modification is essential for controlling protein levels and activity within cells, thereby influencing processes such as cell proliferation and response to stress. CUL-4′s regulation of protein degradation underscores its importance in cellular signaling pathways and potential implications in cancer and other diseases where these pathways are disrupted.

Thank you for your question. Anti-CUL-4 Antibody (H-11): sc-377188 is recommended for detection of CUL-4A and CUL-4B of mouse, rat, human and origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA. We do not recommend it for IHC applications.

Can you distinguish between CUL4A and CUL4B with this antibody? The old C-19 was able to. Thank you

Thank you for your question. This antibody was raised against amino acids 536-597 mapping near the C-terminus of CUL-4 (cullin-4) of human origin. It can detect both CUL-4A and CUL-4B and I would not expect it to distinguish between the two.
