CS1 Antibody (24.1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects CS1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and flow cytometry (FCM). CS1, also known as novel Ly9, SLAMF7, 19A24, or CRACC, is a homophilic cell surface receptor belonging to the signaling lymphocytic activation molecule (SLAM) family, predominantly expressed on natural killer (NK) cells, T cells, and activated B cells. CS1 plays a crucial role in immune responses, particularly in the activation of NK cells, which are essential for the body′s defense against tumors and virally infected cells. CS1′s unique structure includes immunoreceptor tyrosine-based switch motifs in its cytoplasmic domain, allowing CS1 to engage in signaling pathways that enhance cytotoxic activity. Notably, CS1 activates NK cells through an EAT-2-mediated pathway that is independent of SLAM-associated protein (SAP), distinguishing CS1 from other SLAM receptors. The interaction between CS1 and EAT-2 is significant, as EAT-2 not only associates with CS1 but also induces CS1 phosphorylation, leading to the activation of downstream effectors such as phospholipase C gamma (PLCγ) and phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI 3-kinase).
