Cryopyrin Antibody (6F12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects the Cryopyrin protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Cryopyrin antibody (6F12) is available as a non-conjugated monoclonal isotype antibody. Cryopyrin (6F12) antibody recognizes NLRP3, which plays a crucial role in the innate immune response by forming a multiprotein complex known as the inflammasome, which is essential for the activation of caspase-1 and the subsequent processing and secretion of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as interleukin-1β. This function is particularly important as Cryopyrin helps the body respond to infections and cellular stress, but dysregulation can lead to excessive inflammation and is implicated in several autoinflammatory disorders, including familial cold autoinflammatory syndrome, Muckle-Wells syndrome, and chronic infantile neurologic cutaneous and articular syndrome. Additionally, Cryopyrin interacts selectively with apoptosis-associated specklike protein containing a CARD domain (ASC), which serves as an upstream activator of NFkB signaling, further highlighting its significance in immune regulation.
