CRIK Antibody (E-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects CRIK protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CRIK (E-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CRIK, also known as Citron Rho-interacting kinase, plays a crucial role in the regulation of cytokinesis and is essential for proper development of the central nervous system. Located in the cytoplasm, CRIK interacts with Rho, a Ras-related small GTPase, to regulate actin-based cytoskeletal structures such as stress fibers and focal adhesions, which are vital for maintaining cell shape and facilitating cell division. CRIK consists of 2,027 amino acids and belongs to the protein kinase superfamily, specifically the AGC Ser/Thr protein kinase family, featuring an AGC-kinase C-terminal domain, a CNH domain, a PH domain, a phorbol-ester/DAG-type zinc finger, and a protein kinase domain. CRIK is required for the localization of KIF14 to the central spindle and midbody during cell division, and exists as four alternatively spliced isoforms encoded by a gene located on chromosome 12q24.23.

For the Hela cells staining with this antibody, I wonder if the fluorescent signals also localized in midbody or cleavage furrow during cytokinesis?

Asked by: Frog leon
Thank you for your question. We saw cytoplasmic and membrane localization in Hela cells. Unfortunately we are unable to provide further information.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-390437 P appropriate for?

Asked by: jenniferc
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
