CREB3L4 Antibody (D-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects CREB3L4 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CREB3L4 (D-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The cAMP responsive element-binding protein 3-L4 (CREB3L4), also known as AIbZIP, plays a crucial role as a transcriptional activator that binds to DNA, particularly in the context of the unfolded protein response (UPR). CREB3L4 is primarily expressed in luminal epithelial cells of the prostate, as well as in breast and skeletal tissues, where CREB3L4 functions by binding as a dimer to the UPR element (UPRE) of DNA to activate transcription. Androgens influence CREB3L4 expression, and elevated androgen levels can lead to CREB3L4 over-expression. Under conditions of high stress in the endoplasmic reticulum, the N-terminal domain of CREB3L4 is released and translocates from the ER membrane to the nucleus, enabling CREB3L4 to access DNA and initiate transcription. Increased CREB3L4 levels have been associated with prostatic cancers, indicating CREB3L4′s potential involvement in tumorigenesis and highlighting CREB3L4′s importance in cancer research and therapeutic development.
