CPVL Antibody (H-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects CPVL of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-CPVL antibody (H-7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CPVL, or carboxypeptidase, vitellogenic-like, is a serine carboxypeptidase that plays a crucial role in the immune system, particularly in myeloid cells. CPVL (H-7) antibody targets a protein primarily located in the cytoplasm of these cells, which allows for efficient processing of peptides during immune responses. CPVL is involved in the maturation of monocytes into macrophages, suggesting importance in phagocytosis and antigen processing, thereby contributing to the organization of the innate immune response. Additionally, CPVL contains four putative N-glycosylation sites and a serine carboxypeptidase active site, which are essential for enzymatic activity and stability. These modifications can influence protein function and interactions, making CPVL a vital component in understanding immune regulation and potential therapeutic targets.

What is the recommended fixation method for immunofluorescence staining with CPVL (H-7): sc-376658 monoclonal antibody?

Asked by: Cweed
Thank you for your inquiry. We recommend fixing cells for 5 minutes in -10°C methanol and allowing to air dry. The full protocol can be viewed here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunofluorescence-cell-staining
