CPSF2 Antibody (A-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CPSF2 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CPSF2 (A-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CPSF2 plays a crucial role in processing eukaryotic mRNAs, specifically in cleavage and polyadenylation of pre-mRNA, which is essential for mRNA stability and translation. CPSF2 functions as part of the cleavage and polyadenylation specificity factor (CPSF) complex, localized in the nucleoplasm and responsible for recognizing the AAUAAA signal in pre-mRNA. CPSF2 represents the second largest subunit of the four-subunit CPSF complex, encoded by a gene located on chromosome 14q32.12. CPSF2 interaction with other proteins, such as U1 snRNP-A protein (U1A), enhances polyadenylation efficiency by stabilizing CPSF binding to AAUAAA-containing RNAs, facilitating critical steps in mRNA maturation. CPSF2 proves vital for gene expression regulation and serves as a significant target for studies related to RNA processing and disease implications.
