    SEE ALSO...

CPB Antibody (D-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CPB protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CPB Antibody (D-3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CPB protein, also known as carboxypeptidase B, CPB1, or pancreas-specific protein, is a zinc-containing exopeptidase that plays a crucial role in digestion by cleaving C-terminal basic amino acid residues from protein substrates. This enzymatic activity is vital for proper digestion of dietary proteins and regulation of various physiological processes. CPB is synthesized as an inactive zymogen in the endoplasmic reticulum of pancreatic acinar cells, where CPB is packaged into secretory granules and released into the duodenum upon stimulation. In the duodenum, CPB is activated through cleavage of its N-terminal activation peptide, allowing CPB to perform digestive functions. CPB serves as a significant serum marker for acute pancreatitis and pancreatic graft rejection, making anti-CPB antibody (D-3) an essential tool for research and clinical diagnostics in understanding pancreatic health and disease.
