COL9A2 Antibody (H-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects COL9A2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). COL9A2 (H-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. COL9A2 protein, also known as collagen alpha-2(IX) chain, is a crucial component of the extracellular matrix, particularly in hyaline cartilage and the vitreous body of the eye. This 689 amino acid protein belongs to the fibril-associated collagens with interrupted helices (FACIT) family and plays a significant role in maintaining the structural integrity and resilience of cartilage, which is essential for joint function and mobility. Proper functioning of COL9A2 is vital, as mutations in the COL9A2 gene can lead to multiple epiphyseal dysplasia, a condition characterized by skeletal abnormalities. By utilizing anti-COL9A2 antibody (H-8) in your research, you can gain valuable insights into the role of this protein in connective tissue disorders and its potential implications in therapeutic strategies.
