COASTER Antibody (A-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects COASTER protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). COASTER (A-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. COASTER, also known as ZNF451 (zinc finger protein 451), is a 1,061 amino acid nuclear protein that belongs to the Krüppel C2H2-type zinc-finger protein family and functions as a coactivator for steroid receptors, playing a crucial role in transcriptional regulation. COASTER features eleven C2H2-type zinc fingers, which are essential for DNA binding and protein-protein interactions, allowing COASTER to modulate the activity of steroid hormone receptors effectively. COASTER is encoded on human chromosome 6, a region associated with various diseases, including early onset intestinal cancer and several neuropsychiatric disorders, highlighting COASTER′s importance in both normal physiology and disease states. Understanding COASTER′s interactions and regulatory mechanisms can provide insights into potential roles in cancer susceptibility and other health conditions.
