SEE ALSO...

CHRNB4 Antibody (E-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CHRNB4 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-CHRNB4 antibody (E-3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CHRNB4 (E-3) antibody recognizes CHRNB4, a 498-amino acid protein that serves as a crucial component of the ligand-gated ion channel family, specifically functioning as a subunit of nicotinic acetylcholine receptors. These receptors are vital for synaptic transmission, mediating fast response to neurotransmitters like acetylcholine at the neuromuscular junction and in the central nervous system. CHRNB4 contributes to forming the receptor′s transmembrane aqueous pore, allowing ions to flow in response to acetylcholine binding, which is essential for muscle contraction and neuronal signaling. CHRNB4 is also implicated in the glutamatergic pathway and may play a role in nicotine dependence, highlighting its importance in both neuromuscular function and potential addiction mechanisms.
