SEE ALSO...

Cdk9 Antibody (D-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody designed to target Cyclin-dependent kinase 9 (Cdk9), also known as Serine/threonine-protein kinase PITALRE or CDC2L4. Cdk9 (D-7) antibody is raised against amino acids 204-372 of the human Cdk9 protein and exhibits broad species reactivity, effectively detecting Cdk9 from mouse, rat, and human origins through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry (IHCP), and ELISA. Cdk9 is a crucial member of the cyclin-dependent kinase family, primarily involved in regulating transcription elongation by phosphorylating the C-terminal domain of RNA polymerase II, which is essential for the expression of genes that control cell cycle progression, differentiation, and apoptosis. Additionally, Cdk9 plays a significant role in the phosphorylation of the retinoblastoma protein, linking Cdk9 to the regulation of the cell cycle and cellular proliferation. Cdk9 functionality is vital for maintaining proper cellular functions and dysregulation is associated with various diseases, including cancer and viral infections such as HIV, where Cdk9 is necessary for the transcriptional activation mediated by the HIV Tat protein. Anti-Cdk9 monoclonal antibody (D-7) facilitates the study of mechanisms in gene expression regulation, cell growth, and disease pathology. Cdk9 (D-7) monoclonal antibody is available in both non-conjugated form and a variety of conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates, providing versatile options for diverse experimental setups and enhancing the versatility and applicability of research projects.

Does this antibody have a blocking peptide associated with it?

Asked by: AbPolly
Thank you for your question. As this antibody was raised against a recombinant protein, unfortunately it is not possible to offer a blocking peptide for it.
