Cdc4 Antibody (A-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects Cdc4 in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Cdc4, also known as AGO, FBW7, FBXW7, FBX30, SEL10, and FLJ11071, plays a crucial role in cell cycle regulation by targeting cyclin E for ubiquitin-mediated degradation, preventing uncontrolled cell proliferation. Anti-Cdc4 antibody (A-4) recognizes a protein that functions in the nucleus, participating in SCF (SKP1-cullin-F-box) ubiquitin ligase complex formation, essential for phosphorylation-dependent ubiquitination. Mutations in Cdc4 have been implicated in ovarian and breast cancer cell lines. Seven tandem WD40 repeats in Cdc4 enhance substrate interaction capabilities, highlighting Cdc4′s importance in maintaining cellular homeostasis and preventing cancer progression.
