Cdc4 Antibody (A-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Cdc4 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Cdc4 (A-2) antibody is available in non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Cdc4 plays a crucial role in cell cycle regulation by targeting specific proteins for degradation, ensuring proper cell division and preventing uncontrolled cell proliferation. Mutations in Cdc4 have been linked to ovarian and breast cancer development, highlighting Cdc4′s potential as a biomarker for tumor progression and therapeutic target. As a member of the F-box protein family, Cdc4 contains a 40 amino acid F-box motif and forms part of the SCF ubiquitin ligase complex, essential for phosphorylation-dependent ubiquitination. Cdc4 also contains seven tandem WD40 repeats that facilitate protein-protein interactions, emphasizing Cdc4′s importance in cellular signaling pathways.
