CD34 Antibody (B-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CD34 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CD34 (B-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CD34 is a heavily glycosylated transmembrane glycoprotein that plays a crucial role in identifying and isolating hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells, as CD34 appears on their surface. CD34 expression marks the most primitive stem cells, which are essential for blood and immune system development. As stem cells differentiate into lineage-committed progenitors, CD34 expression gradually diminishes, making CD34 a valuable marker for tracking stem cell differentiation. CD34 appears on small-vessel endothelial cells and certain cells in fetal and adult nervous tissue, highlighting CD34 importance in both hematopoiesis and vascular biology. CD34 cytoplasmic domain contains consensus sites for phosphorylation by activated protein kinase C, as well as serine, threonine, and tyrosine phosphorylation sites, which are critical for mediating intracellular signaling pathways that influence cell adhesion and migration.
