CD3-ζ Antibody (3F67) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects CD3-ζ in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and flow cytometry (FCM). CD3-ζ plays a crucial role in T cell activation by forming part of the T cell receptor (TCR) complex, which is essential for recognizing foreign antigens and initiating intracellular signaling pathways that lead to T cell activation. The structure of CD3-ζ is particularly important as CD3-ζ contains three immunoreceptor tyrosine-based activation motifs (ITAMs) that are critical for function; these motifs are phosphorylated upon TCR engagement, creating docking sites for protein kinases such as ZAP-70 and Syk, which further propagate the activation signal.
