Datasheets
  • CD3-γ Antibody (E-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 κ provided at 200 µg/ml
  • raised against amino acids 21-100 mapping within an extracellular domain of CD3-γ of human origin
  • recommended for detection of precursor and mature forms of CD3-γ of human origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA
  • m-IgG Fc BP-HRP, m-IgG1 BP-HRP and m-IgGκ BP-HRP are the preferred secondary detection reagents for CD3-γ Antibody (E-2) for WB applications. These reagents are now offered in bundles with CD3-γ Antibody (E-2) (see ordering information below).

    SEE ALSO...

CD3-γ Antibody (E-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects CD3-γ in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CD3-γ is a crucial component of the T cell receptor (TCR) complex, playing a vital role in T cell activation and signaling. Located on the surface of T cells, CD3-γ forms part of a multisubunit complex that includes other invariant polypeptide chains, which together facilitate the recognition of foreign antigens. This recognition triggers a cascade of intracellular signals that lead to T cell activation, essential for the adaptive immune response. The structure of CD3-γ, which contains a single immunoreceptor tyrosine-based activation motif (ITAM), is significant because CD3-γ allows for the recruitment of protein kinases like ZAP-70 and Syk, which are critical for propagating the activation signal. The phosphorylation of the ITAMs creates docking sites for these kinases, enhancing their activity and ensuring a robust immune response. Anti-CD3-γ antibody (E-2) is an invaluable tool for researchers studying T cell biology and the mechanisms underlying immune responses.

What blocking solution should I use with CD3-γ (E-2): sc-55563 monoclonal antibody for Western blot?

    Asked by: Cweed
Thank you for your question. We recommend blocking with Blotto (either TBS Blotto A: sc-2333 or TBS Blotto B: sc-2335). Our Western blot protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/western-immuno-blotting
