CD177 Antibody (C-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects CD177 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CD177 (C-1) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CD177, also known as NB1, is a cell surface antigen that plays a crucial role in the immune response by mediating the adhesion of neutrophils to endothelial cells, which is essential for recruiting immune cells to sites of inflammation. This function is particularly important in conditions such as polycythemia vera (PV), a neoplastic stem cell disorder characterized by the overproduction of myeloid cell lines, including red blood cells. In PV patients, CD177 is significantly upregulated compared to healthy individuals, leading to increased blood viscosity and a higher risk of vascular occlusion and ischemia. Anti-CD177 antibody (C-1) specifically identifies this protein, making CD177 (C-1) monoclonal antibody a valuable tool for both diagnostic purposes and research into the underlying mechanisms of PV, providing insights into potential therapeutic targets and strategies.
