CCL23 Antibody (H-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CCL23 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-CCL23 antibody (H-2) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CCL23, also known as small inducible cytokine A23 precursor or CK-beta-8, plays a crucial role in the immune response by binding to CCR1 receptor, which is essential for recruiting immune cells to sites of inflammation. CCL23 inhibits the production of polymorphonuclear leukocytes and monocytes in bone marrow, thereby regulating inflammatory response. A splice variant, CK-beta-8-1, exhibits chemotactic properties for lymphocytes, monocytes, and neutrophils. CCL23 promotes angiogenesis and endothelial cell migration through CCR1 receptor interaction, highlighting importance in vascular biology. Proinflammatory proteases can cleave an N-terminal domain of CCL23, significantly enhancing CCR1-mediated signaling potency up to 1000-fold in vitro. N-truncated CCL23 has been detected in synovial fluids of rheumatoid arthritis patients, indicating potential role in inflammatory processes. High expression of CCL23 mRNA has been observed in human fetal bone osteoblasts and chondrocytes, suggesting involvement in recruiting osteoclast precursors to areas of bone resorption, thus playing a significant role in bone metabolism and homeostasis.
