Caspase-3 p11 Antibody (C-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 lambda light chain antibody designed to detect the p11 subunit of caspase-3, also known as apopain, SCA-1, Yama, and CPP32. Anti-caspase-3 p11 antibody (C-6) targets an epitope between amino acids 185-211 at the N-terminus of human caspase-3 p11, ensuring accurate recognition of both the p11 subunit and the full-length procaspase-3 in mouse, rat, and human samples through western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) assays. Caspase-3 is a vital aspartate-specific cysteine protease within the ICE subfamily, playing a crucial role in the execution phase of apoptosis, the programmed cell death essential for development, tissue homeostasis, and eliminating damaged or unwanted cells.
