CaMKIV Antibody (C-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects CaMKIV in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry with paraffin embedded sections (IHCP). CaMKIV, a member of the calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase family, plays a crucial role in various cellular processes, including the regulation of gene expression and the cell cycle. CaMKIV is primarily located in the nucleus, where CaMKIV phosphorylates transcription factors, thereby influencing the transcription of genes involved in cell proliferation and differentiation. Nuclear localization of CaMKIV is vital because CaMKIV allows for direct modulation of gene expression in response to calcium signaling, which is essential for processes such as T cell activation and neuronal signaling.
