SEE ALSO...

CagA Antibody (A-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects CagA protein of H. pylori origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CagA Antibody (A-10) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CagA, a key virulence factor of Helicobacter pylori, plays a critical role in the pathogenesis of gastric diseases, including ulcers and gastric cancer. Once injected into host cells, CagA undergoes phosphorylation, which is essential for function as phosphorylated CagA interacts with various host cell signaling pathways. This post-translational modification enables CagA to manipulate host cell behavior, leading to changes in cell morphology, actin cytoskeleton rearrangement, and disruption of normal cellular processes. CagA′s ability to induce these alterations is linked to oncogenic potential, making CagA a significant factor in the development of gastric cancer. Understanding CagA′s role and modifications not only sheds light on H. pylori pathogenesis but also highlights potential therapeutic targets for managing H. pylori-related diseases.

hello...I want to use Alexa Flour-tagged CagA antibody for IF, where I will be using other mouse-generated antibodies with different Alexa Fluor tag. So, i want to know whether AF-tagged CagA antibody can also cross-react with another mouse-generated AF.

Asked by: Kanchan
Thank you for your question. We do not have any data to indicate cross-reactivity of this product with other primary antibodies.

What secondary is best to use with CagA (A-10): sc-28368?

Asked by: jenni
Thank you for your question. While most anti-mouse IgG secondary antibodies are appropriate for use with CagA (A-10): sc-28368, we recommend using one our exclusive Mouse IgG Binding Proteins as a secondary detection reagent. A complete list of available binding proteins is available on our website here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/browse/support-products-mouse-igg-binding-proteins/_/N-ecrety
