Datasheets
  • CAD Antibody (G-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 κ provided at 200 µg/ml
  • specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 310-338 at the C-terminus of CAD of human origin
  • recommended for detection of CAD of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF, IHC(P) and ELISA
  • m-IgG Fc BP-HRP, m-IgG1 BP-HRP and m-IgGκ BP-HRP are the preferred secondary detection reagents for CAD Antibody (G-11) for WB and IHC(P) applications. These reagents are now offered in bundles with CAD Antibody (G-11) (see ordering information below).

    SEE ALSO...

CAD Antibody (G-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects CAD (caspase-activated deoxyribonuclease) in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CAD plays a crucial role in the apoptotic process by facilitating DNA degradation, which is essential for the orderly dismantling of cellular components during programmed cell death. CAD (G-11) antibody targets a protein primarily located in the nucleus, where CAD becomes activated following cleavage by caspase-3, which dissociates CAD from its inhibitor, ICAD. Nuclear localization of CAD is significant because CAD allows for targeted degradation of DNA, ensuring efficient execution of the apoptotic process and preventing potential genomic instability from incomplete or improper apoptosis. Anti-CAD antibody (G-11) serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying apoptosis and its implications in various diseases, including cancer, where dysregulation of this process can lead to uncontrolled cell proliferation.
