BRDG1 Antibody (G-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects BRDG1 in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). BRDG1, a crucial docking protein, plays a significant role in enhancing the activity of Tec kinases and potentiating cellular responses downstream of B cell antigen receptor activation, as well as other signaling pathways involving cytokine receptors and integrins. BRDG1 is characterized by its proline-rich pleckstrin homology (PH) domain and multiple tyrosine phosphorylation sites, which facilitate interaction with SH2 domain-containing effector proteins, thereby influencing various cellular processes. Notably, BRDG1 is preferentially phosphorylated by Tec family nonreceptor protein tyrosine kinases, including Tec and Pyk2, which are essential for mediating signal transduction in immune responses. Human BRDG1 is encoded by a gene located on chromosome 4q13.1 and consists of 295 amino acids, with transcripts being particularly abundant in the Ramos human B cell line. The mouse ortholog, stem cell adaptor protein 1 (STAP-1), shares a remarkable 83% identity with BRDG1, underscoring the evolutionary conservation of its function. Anti-BRDG1 antibody (G-10) is an invaluable tool for researchers investigating the intricate signaling mechanisms in B cells and their implications in immune responses.
