    SEE ALSO...

BRDG1 Antibody (F-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects BRDG1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). BRDG1 (F-12) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. BCR downstream signaling-1 (BRDG1) protein plays a crucial role in enhancing Tec kinases activity and potentiating cellular responses downstream of B cell antigen receptor, cytokine receptor, integrin, and receptor tyrosine kinase activation, making BRDG1 vital for effective immune responses. Located primarily in the cytoplasm, BRDG1 acts as a docking protein containing a proline-rich pleckstrin homology domain and multiple candidate tyrosine phosphorylation sites, allowing BRDG1 to associate with SH2 domain-containing effector proteins. This interaction is essential for regulating signaling pathways that influence cell proliferation and differentiation. Notably, BRDG1 is preferentially phosphorylated by Tec family nonreceptor protein tyrosine kinases, such as Tec and Pyk2, which are integral to various signaling cascades. The mouse ortholog, stem cell adaptor protein 1 (STAP-1), shares 83% identity with BRDG1, highlighting the evolutionary conservation of function. Human BRDG1 protein is encoded by a gene located on chromosome 4q13.1 and consists of 295 amino acids, with transcripts being particularly abundant in the Ramos human B cell line, underscoring BRDG1′s significance in B cell biology.
