BRD4 Antibody (A-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects BRD4 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). BRD4 Antibody (A-7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. BRD4 is a member of the bromodomain and extraterminal (BET) family, characterized by two bromodomains that facilitate interaction with acetylated lysines on histones and non-histone proteins. This interaction regulates gene expression, particularly in cell cycle progression and transcriptional activation. BRD4 plays a significant role in assembling transcriptional machinery at target gene promoters, essential for proper cell growth and proliferation. Dysregulation of BRD4 has been implicated in various cancers, where aberrant function can lead to uncontrolled cell division and tumor progression. Understanding BRD4′s role in cellular processes highlights both normal physiological importance and potential as a therapeutic target in cancer treatment.
