SEE ALSO...

BLU Antibody (G-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects BLU protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-BLU antibody (G-10) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. BLU protein, encoded by a gene located on chromosome 3p21.3, is recognized as a potential tumor suppressor, playing a crucial role in cellular processes that prevent tumorigenesis. Notably, methylation of BLU promoter region has been linked to downregulation of BLU transcript expression in various tumor cell lines, highlighting significance in cancer biology. High frequency of alterations in BLU gene suggests involvement in pathogenesis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma and non-small cell lung cancers. BLU protein is primarily expressed in lung tissue, with lower levels detected in kidney, liver, placenta, and brain, while a shorter isoform is specifically found in testis. Understanding expression and regulation of BLU protein is vital for elucidating role in cancer development and progression, making BLU (G-10) monoclonal antibody an essential tool for researchers studying these pathways.
