SEE ALSO...

Bex2 Antibody (C-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Bex2 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Bex2 (C-12) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The brain-expressed X-linked (Bex) family of proteins, including Bex2, plays a crucial role in the central nervous system, with significant expression levels found in the cerebellum, temporal lobe, and pituitary tissues. Bex2 is particularly important due to its involvement in neuronal differentiation and interaction with LMO2, a LIM domain-containing transcription factor that regulates the transcriptional activity of DNA-binding complexes. This interaction is vital for proper gene expression during neurodevelopment. Additionally, Bex2 is highly expressed in the embryonic brain and shuttles between the cytoplasm and nucleus, which is essential for regulatory functions. Notably, Bex2 has been implicated in tumor formation, as upregulation can lead to increased sensitivity to chemotherapy-induced apoptosis, while also exhibiting powerful tumor suppressor effects.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-398486 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Professor Griffin
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
