β-dystroglycan Antibody (4F7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects β-dystroglycan of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. β-dystroglycan Antibody (4F7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. β-dystroglycan plays a crucial role as a cell surface receptor for several extracellular matrix components, such as laminins, agrin, and perlecan, which are essential for basement membrane formation during early development and proper laminin organization on the cell surface.
