Datasheets
  • Bak Antibody (G-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgM κ, cited in 1 publications, provided at 200 µg/ml
  • specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 41-60 of Bak of mouse origin
  • recommended for detection of Bak of mouse and rat origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA
  • Anti-Bak Antibody (G-10) is available conjugated to agarose for IP; HRP for WB, IHC(P) and ELISA; and to either phycoerythrin or FITC for IF, IHC(P) and FCM
  • also available conjugated to Alexa Fluor® 488, Alexa Fluor® 546, Alexa Fluor® 594 or Alexa Fluor® 647 for WB (RGB), IF, IHC(P) and FCM, and for use with RGB fluorescent imaging systems, such as iBright™ FL1000, FluorChem™, Typhoon, Azure and other comparable systems
  • also available conjugated to Alexa Fluor® 680 or Alexa Fluor® 790 for WB (NIR), IF and FCM; for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR®Odyssey®, iBright™ FL1000, FluorChem™, Typhoon, Azure and other comparable systems
  • m-IgGκ BP-HRP is the preferred secondary detection reagent for Bak Antibody (G-10) for WB applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with Bak Antibody (G-10) (see ordering information below). For additional m-IgGκ BP conjugates see our complete list of Mouse IgG Binding Proteins.

SEE ALSO...

Bak Antibody (G-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgM kappa antibody that detects Bak protein of mouse and rat origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Bak (G-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Bak protein, a member of the Bcl-2 family, plays a crucial role in the regulation of apoptosis, particularly in promoting cell death in response to specific signals. Bak′s ability to enhance apoptotic processes is vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and eliminating damaged or unwanted cells, which is essential for tissue health and development. Bak is predominantly located in the mitochondrial membrane, where Bak interacts with other pro-apoptotic and anti-apoptotic proteins, thereby influencing the intrinsic pathway of apoptosis. Regulation of Bak′s activity is critical, as Bak overexpression can lead to excessive cell death, while Bak inhibition can contribute to tumorigenesis. Understanding the dynamics of Bak and Bak interactions with other proteins is fundamental for developing therapeutic strategies targeting apoptosis in various diseases, including cancer.
