SEE ALSO...

Bak Antibody (C-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Bak of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Bak (C-3) antibody is available in non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Bak, a member of the Bcl-2 family of proteins, plays a crucial role in regulating apoptosis, which maintains cellular homeostasis and tissue integrity. Bak (C-3) monoclonal antibody targets the protein in the mitochondrial membrane, where Bak releases cytochrome c and other pro-apoptotic factors into the cytosol, promoting apoptotic cell death in response to cellular stress or damage. This mitochondrial localization positions Bak as a key player in the intrinsic pathway of apoptosis, effectively counteracting anti-apoptotic signals from other Bcl-2 family members, such as Bcl-2 itself. Widespread expression of Bak across various cell types highlights its importance in apoptosis regulation, making Bak a critical target for studies related to cancer, neurodegenerative diseases, and other conditions where apoptosis is dysregulated.

Hi, I bought this antibody eight months ago. It was never frozen but kept at 4 C degrees. I performed an experiment last week and I noticed very dim signal. Is there any chance that the antibody is too old to be used? Thank you in advance for your help.
