SEE ALSO...

BAFF-R Antibody (H-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects BAFF-R protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-BAFF-R antibody (H-1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. BAFF-R, a member of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) receptor family, plays a critical role in B cell development and survival by mediating signals from TNF cytokine family member TALL-1, also known as BAFF. This type II membrane protein is primarily located on B cell surfaces, where BAFF-R is essential for selecting transitional B cells into the mature B cell pool, thereby influencing immune response. The gene encoding human BAFF-R is located on chromosome 22q13.1-q13.31 and shows high expression in spleen and lymph nodes, with lower levels in peripheral blood leukocytes and thymus. Understanding BAFF-R function and location remains vital, as BAFF-R signaling pathways are implicated in various autoimmune diseases and lymphoproliferative disorders, making BAFF-R a significant target for therapeutic interventions.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from BAFF-R+ cells in ducksWe detected BAFF-R+ cells (green signal in the pictures; presumably B-cells) by IF in cryo-sections of nasal mucosa of ducks infected by the neuropathogenic schistosome Trichobilharzia regenti. Furthermore, the BAFF-R+ cells were also seen in a spleen of the duck.
