SEE ALSO...

Axin Antibody (G-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Axin in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Axin antibody (G-3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Axin plays a crucial role in the regulation of the Wnt signaling pathway, which is essential for various cellular processes, including cell proliferation, differentiation, and migration. Axin functions as a scaffold that facilitates the formation of a complex with β-catenin, adenomatous polyposis coli (APC), and glycogen synthase kinase 3 beta (GSK-3β), promoting the degradation of β-catenin. This degradation is vital for preventing aberrant Wnt signaling, which can lead to developmental disorders and cancer. Additionally, Axin′s structural similarity to Conductin, which shares 45% identity, suggests that Axin may have overlapping functions in Wnt signaling regulation. Axin′s ability to modulate β-catenin levels underscores its importance in maintaining cellular homeostasis and its potential as a therapeutic target in Wnt-related diseases.
