    SEE ALSO...

ATPAF1 Antibody (E-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects ATPAF1 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ATPAF1 (E-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ATPAF1, also known as ATP synthase mitochondrial F1 complex assembly factor 1, plays a crucial role in the assembly of the F1 component of ATP synthase, which is essential for ATP production in mitochondria. ATPAF1 is located in the mitochondrial matrix, where ATPAF1 facilitates the proper assembly of the F1-beta and F1-alpha subunits into the ATP synthase complex. The correct assembly of these subunits is vital for the enzyme′s function, as assembly directly impacts the synthesis of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), the primary energy currency of the cell. Disruptions in ATP synthase assembly can lead to severe metabolic disorders, highlighting ATPAF1′s importance in maintaining cellular energy homeostasis. Both ATPAF1 and ATPAF2 are highly conserved across eukaryotic species, indicating their fundamental role in mitochondrial function and overall cellular health. Given their significance in enzyme assembly, ATPAF1 and ATPAF2 are of particular interest in research related to ATP synthase deficiencies, where understanding their function could provide insights into previously unexplained biochemical defects in patients.
