ASGPR2 Antibody (C-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects ASGPR2 in mouse and rat samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-ASGPR2 antibody (C-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Asialoglycoprotein Receptor 2 (ASGPR2), also known as hepatic lectin, is a type II integral membrane protein predominantly expressed in hepatic cells, where ASGPR2 plays a crucial role in glycoprotein clearance from circulation. ASGPR2 is composed of two homologous subunits, ASGPR1 and ASGPR2, which form multimeric complexes and contain four functional domains: a cytosolic domain, a transmembrane domain, a stalk domain, and a carbohydrate recognition domain (CRD). The CRD enables specific binding to glycoproteins with terminal galactose and N-acetylgalactosamine residues in the presence of calcium, facilitating internalization of the ASGPR2-glycoprotein complex into the cell. Upon internalization, receptor and ligand dissociate, allowing ASGPR2 to recycle back to the cell membrane. ASGPR2 also interacts with hepatitis B virus (HBV), mediating viral entry into liver cells, highlighting ASGPR2′s potential as a therapeutic target in HBV infection.
