    SEE ALSO...

Arylsulfatase E Antibody (F-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects Arylsulfatase E of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Arylsulfatase E antibody (F-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Arylsulfatase E, also known as CDPX, CDPX1, or CDPXR, is a 589 amino acid protein located in the Golgi apparatus and is primarily expressed in the pancreas, liver, and kidney. Arylsulfatase E plays a crucial role in the hydrolysis of sulfate esters from sulfated steroids, carbohydrates, proteoglycans, and glycolipids, which is essential for hormone biosynthesis, modulation of cell signaling, and the degradation of macromolecules. Arylsulfatase E functions as part of the sulfatase family to maintain the correct composition of cartilage and bone matrix during development. Deficiencies in Arylsulfatase E can lead to chondrodysplasia punctata X-linked recessive type 1 (CDPX1), a condition characterized by abnormal bone mineralization and severe underdevelopment of nasal cartilage. Arylsulfatase E has no activity toward steroid sulfates, highlighting its specificity and importance in various biological processes.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-393224 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: Dr Ninau Qelp
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
