SEE ALSO...

AQP1 Antibody (B-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects AQP1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-AQP1 antibody (B-11) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. AQP1, also known as aquaporin 1, is an integral membrane protein that facilitates water transport across cell membranes, essential for maintaining osmotic balance and proper cellular function. AQP1 expression is highest in erythrocytes and renal tubule cells, contributing to renal water absorption and fluid homeostasis regulation. AQP1 presence in these locations highlights a crucial role in physiological processes like urine concentration and blood volume maintenance. As part of a larger aquaporin family, AQP1 works alongside various isoforms that transport other small solutes, demonstrating diverse roles in cellular hydration and nutrient transport. AQP1 (B-11) monoclonal antibody serves as an essential tool for researchers studying water transport mechanisms and related physiological processes in various biological contexts.

Can I use AQP1 (B-11) for immunofluorescence staining of mice renal tissue? If so, is there a recommended dilution?

Asked by: Loz2
Thank you for your question. This mouse monoclonal antibody, AQP1 (B-11): sc-25287, is recommended for immunofluorescence staining (IF) of mouse tissues. We recommend a starting dilution of 1:50 (range of 1:50-1:500). A link to our recommended protocol is provided below as a reference. https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunofluorescence-cell-staining

Can I use AQP1 (B-11): sc-25287 mouse monoclonal antibody for immunohistochemical staining of mouse tissue?

Asked by: jenni
Yes. We recommend using a directly conjugated monoclonal antibody. AQP1 (B-11): sc-25287 monoclonal antibody is available directly conjugated to either HRP (sc-25287 HRP), phycoerythrin (sc-25287 PE), fluorescein (sc-25287 FITC), Alexa Fluor® 488 (sc-25287 AF488) or Alexa Fluor® 647 (sc-25287 AF647)
