AHA-1 Antibody (E-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects AHA-1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). AHA-1 plays a pivotal role in regulating the heat shock protein 90 (HSP 90) complex, which is essential for protein folding, stabilization, and degradation, thereby influencing cellular stress responses. AHA-1′s ability to stimulate the inherent ATPase activity of HSP 90 is crucial for maintaining cellular homeostasis, particularly under non-optimal growth conditions when HSP 90 levels are limited. AHA-1 is primarily located in the cytosol but can transiently interact with the endoplasmic reticulum, impacting the trafficking of proteins from the endoplasmic reticulum to the Golgi apparatus.
