    26S Proteasome p58 Antibody (U6/272) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects the 26S Proteasome p58 protein of Drosophila melanogaster origin by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Anti-26S Proteasome p58 antibody (U6/272) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The 26S proteasome is a crucial multi-subunit complex responsible for the degradation of ubiquitinated proteins, a process vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and regulating various biological functions such as the cell cycle, apoptosis, and responses to oxidative stress. 26S proteasome p58, also referred to as Rpn3 in yeast and S3 in humans, is one of the essential non-ATPase lid subunits of the 19S regulatory complex, playing a significant role in the assembly and stability of the entire proteasome structure. 26S proteasome p58 is integral to the recognition of ubiquitinated substrates, facilitating the removal of ubiquitin chains and the subsequent translocation of these substrates into the 20S core for degradation. Given its pivotal function in protein turnover and quality control, 26S proteasome p58 is critical for cellular health and function, making 26S proteasome p58 an important target for research in various fields, including cancer biology and neurodegenerative diseases.
