MYBPC3 Antibody (F-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects MYBPC3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MYBPC3 (F-1) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. MYBPC3, or myosin-binding protein C, cardiac, plays a crucial role in cardiac muscle function by regulating the interaction between myosin and actin filaments, which is essential for muscle contraction. MYBPC3 is predominantly located in the crossbridge-bearing zone of the A bands in vertebrate striated muscle, where MYBPC3 contributes to the structural integrity and functional regulation of the sarcomere. Proper localization of MYBPC3 is vital for maintaining the contractile properties of cardiac muscle, and any disruption in MYBPC3 function can lead to severe cardiac conditions. Notably, mutations in the MYBPC3 gene are associated with familial hypertrophic cardiomyopathy type 4 (CMH4), a genetic heart disorder characterized by ventricular hypertrophy, often affecting the interventricular septum asymmetrically. The MYBPC3 gene is located on chromosome 11p11.2, highlighting MYBPC3′s significance in cardiac health and disease.
