RSC1A1 Activators

RSC1A1, or Regulatory Soluble Co-factor 1A1, is a protein that in humans is encoded by the RSC1A1 gene. This protein is also known as Tumor Suppressor RSC1A1, indicative of its role in regulating cell proliferation. The exact function and mechanisms of action of RSC1A1 are not fully understood. However, it's known to be a cytosolic protein and is highly expressed in various tissues, including the brain, heart, and skeletal muscle, suggesting a broad biological role.

Early studies have suggested that RSC1A1 may act as a tumor suppressor. It was found to be downregulated in certain types of cancer, and its overexpression has been reported to inhibit the growth of cancer cells in vitro. However, more research is needed to fully understand its role in cancer and other diseases.RSC1A1 may also play a role in cellular response to stress. It has been shown to interact with the molecular chaperone HSP90, which is involved in protein folding and stability, and is crucial for cellular response to stress and disease.Understanding the functions of RSC1A1 could provide valuable insights into various cellular processes and its role in disease.
