PAGE-2B Activators

PAGE-2B activation can be significantly influenced by a variety of chemical compounds that modulate intracellular second messenger levels. An increase in cyclic AMP (cAMP) is a key modulator of PAGE-2B activity, and compounds that promote the production of cAMP can lead to its heightened activity. For instance, direct stimulation of adenylyl cyclase results in elevated cAMP levels, thereby enhancing PAGE-2B function. Additionally, the prevention of cAMP breakdown by inhibition of phosphodiesterases further ensures sustained high levels of cAMP, which is another route through which PAGE-2B activity can be potentiated.
