LRP1 Activators

Common LRP1 Activators include, but are not limited to Retinoic Acid, all trans CAS 302-79-4, Lipopolysaccharide, E. coli O55:B5 CAS 93572-42-0, Dexamethasone CAS 50-02-2, Ob (hBA-147) CAS 177404-21-6 and PMA CAS 16561-29-8.

The low-density lipoprotein receptor-related protein 1 (LRP1) is a multifunctional endocytic receptor and cell signaling molecule found in various tissues. It plays roles in lipid metabolism, cellular uptake of various molecules, and modulation of intracellular signaling pathways. LRP1 (Low-Density Lipoprotein Receptor-Related Protein 1) Activators are a class of chemical compounds that modulate the activity of the LRP1 receptor. LRP1 is a large cell surface receptor found in various tissues, including the liver, brain, and vasculature. It plays a crucial role in diverse cellular processes such as lipid metabolism, cellular uptake of lipoproteins, and clearance of extracellular molecules. Activation of LRP1 can impact these processes and influence cellular homeostasis.

LRP1 is known to interact with numerous ligands, including apolipoprotein E (ApoE), tissue-type plasminogen activator (tPA), and matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs). Activation of LRP1 can lead to increased internalization and degradation of these ligands, affecting cellular functions. Additionally, LRP1 has been implicated in several diseases, including Alzheimer's disease, atherosclerosis, and cancer, making it a significant target for research. LRP1 Activators are valuable tools in studying the functions and regulation of this receptor, allowing scientists to unravel its complex roles in cellular processes.
