KIR2DS4 Inhibitors
Chemical inhibitors of KIR2DS4 function by interfering with the signaling pathways necessary for its activity. Dasatinib, a tyrosine kinase inhibitor, targets Src family kinases, which are crucial for the signal transduction of KIR2DS4. By inhibiting these kinases, Dasatinib prevents the phosphorylation and activation of KIR2DS4, leading to functional inhibition. Similarly, PP2 and SU6656 are specific Src family kinase inhibitors. Their selective inhibition of these kinases disrupts the downstream signaling required for KIR2DS4's function, resulting in a direct reduction of its activity. PD173955, another kinase inhibitor, also suppresses Src kinase functionality, further preventing KIR2DS4 from transmitting activation signals within the cell.
Furthermore, Src Inhibitor 1, as its name suggests, selectively inhibits Src family kinases, blocking the phosphorylation events that are necessary for the signal propagation through KIR2DS4.
