gasdermin A3 Inhibitors

Gasdermin A3 inhibitors encompass a diverse group of compounds that by modulating various signaling pathways can indirectly affect the activity of Gasdermin A3. The primary mode of action for these inhibitors is not through direct interaction with Gasdermin A3, but rather through the alteration of cellular processes that are prerequisites for Gasdermin A3's role in cell death. For example, Z-VAD-FMK and Belnacasan operate by curtailing the activity of caspases, which are critical for the cleavage and subsequent activation of Gasdermin proteins, including Gasdermin A3. Inhibition of these caspases can prevent the execution of pyroptosis mediated by Gasdermin A3.
