Cdc42EP2 inhibitors comprise a group of chemicals that mainly target upstream and related pathways of Cdc42EP2, predominantly the Cdc42 GTPase signaling pathway. Chemicals like ML141, CASIN, and ZCL278 directly inhibit Cdc42, thereby affecting its interaction with downstream effector proteins, including Cdc42EP2. By blocking the activation of Cdc42, these inhibitors can disrupt the normal function and signaling cascade initiated by this GTPase.

Another approach in inhibiting Cdc42EP2's functionality is by affecting other proteins that interact or converge with the Cdc42 signaling pathway. For instance, NSC23766 and EHT 1864 inhibit Rac proteins, members of the Rho GTPase family, just like Cdc42.
