B7-H6 Inhibitors
B7-H6 Inhibitors are a class of compounds that inhibit the expression or activity of the B7-H6 protein. B7-H6 is a protein that is expressed on the surface of immune cells and tumor cells. It interacts with the immune checkpoint receptor PD-1, which can suppress the immune response. B7-H6 Inhibitors can decrease the levels of B7-H6 protein, prevent its interaction with PD-1, or impair its function in immune regulation.
B7-H6 Inhibitors exert their effect by modulating different aspects of B7-H6 biology. Some B7-H6 Inhibitors, such as small molecule inhibitors, can directly bind to B7-H6 and prevent its interaction with PD-1 or impair its function in immune regulation. Other B7-H6 Inhibitors, such as gene silencing agents (e.g., siRNA, shRNA), can reduce the expression of B7-H6 mRNA or protein. By modulating B7-H6 expression or activity, B7-H6 Inhibitors can enhance the immune response against cancer and other diseases. These compounds could be used to study the role of B7-H6 in immune regulation.
